As I mentioned yesterday, I went over to the very cool DC store Hill’s Kitchen to shop for a wedding gift. Since my soon-to-be-wed friend sometimes reads this blog, I won’t say I what I got. Frankly, I had trouble deciding, since the store is so full of fun kitchen items.
I love the way the store’s shelves are stacked with mixed displays of items connected by color or theme. It’s much more fun than the bland displays at Williams Sonoma or similar stores. Hill’s Kitchen exudes friendliness. And apparently they make efforts to be environmentally friendly as well. Johanna at the DC Recycler blog reports that Hill’s Kitchen will recycle your old Brita water filters.
I think if I ever had a wedding registry, I’d just give a blanket approval to everything in the store.
How do I buy some of those plastic bowls? I need some for work…if they are reasonably priced.
Mike
