My fall garlic that I planted last month has already sent up long, bright green leaves. I can’t tell if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
The frost is going to kill off the tops soon. Is it bad that the garlic plants are putting all their energy into making new leaves that are just going to get killed off? Did I plant the cloves too early? Or is this the only way they can get some energy to store in the bulb all winter? If any of my readers has grown garlic before, please let me know if I’ve done right by my garlic!
