Oh, that sweet potato gnocchi looks delicious! I made a big corn stuffing casserole with onions and garlic and celery. The outside browned and crisped so nice, it almost looked like a turkey. LOL

I agree! Turkey is soooo overrated. I made red wine-poached salmon this year instead of turkey. I feel like turkey always tastes the same, no matter how you cook it... there are just so many more things that I would rather be eating!

Maybe we should do "Free Yourself From the Turkey Handcuffs" t-shirts?

I just hate you're ability to grow such scrumptious looking tomatoes!
I have tried but I don't really have a good place to grow them and end up with very pretty green vines.
I'm also sure that made an excellent desktop wallpaper. I have mine proudly displayed on one of my non gardening blogs since it has nothing to do with plants.

Here's something to be thankful for: Washington's birthday--February 22, and the day we plant peas and sweet peas--is just three months away! Spring is just around the (dark, cold, wet) corner!

mmm.... i wonder....
I think growing your own DOES endow them with magical properties. really.

All kidding aside, yes, you do see and feel things differently when you grow your own.
