These days I’m buying a lot of my veggies at the cheap farm stand, but the Dupont Circle Farmers Market is still my source for fun and interesting veggies, meats, dairy, and so on. There have been some neat new items at the market recently that remind me how fun it is to have access to a market with a diversity of vendors.

I love the photo of the bird beans. I bought October beans last fall that looked really similar. Have you tried them yet? They are delicious slowly cooked with onion, garlic, EVOO, and some rosemary. Mmm.
Those bird beans are pretty. If I was a child I would think whatever was inside would taste like mint candy.
I bet that prosciutto is amazing, but I will have to content myself with the stuff I can get at the Giant.
I wonder what the fresh ginger tastes like compared to the stuff I get in the supermarket . ..
