I don’t go out of my way to plant flowers, but I do appreciate them, and there were some really pretty ones in my garden plot this weekend. The previous occupant of my plot left a rosebush and some kind of gnarled flowering vine, both of which would have been very difficult to remove. I’m glad I didn’t even try. The veggies themselves are also producing some lovely flowers.

Vegetable flowers are as beautiful as any other plants people grow for the blooms….. I see your chives are producing purplish flowers, ours here white..
Cheers!

I think your mystery vine might be Deadly Nightshade, a weed. Crush a little bit of stem and leaf; if they smell sort of sick-cloying, like ether or something, then it’s Deadly Nightshade. You could also look up images, which I didn’t. It’s a pest. Remove as much as you can.
Ugh, after looking up some images, it’s definitely a nightshade of some kind. Probably not deadly nightshade, but maybe a woody climbing nightshade that’s just as invasive. This will be a big undertaking to remove…
No question it’s a nightshade—see how the flower shape looks like a tomato blossom kind of?
